Video links
Send a personal video with every application, forward viewers to your portfolio and see who watched.
A video link is a unique URL like https://cvinfo.me/portfolio/8f3c…/ for one application. The recruiter sees your video on a clean page, then continues to the address you chose.
Create a video link#
- Go to Dashboard → Create video link.
- Enter the company and position.
- Optionally enter a redirect URL — where viewers go after the video (your portfolio, LinkedIn or your cvinfo link page). Without one, your profile's default is used.
- Choose the length: 2 minutes (2 credits) or 5 minutes (5 credits).
- Pick a video — one you have used before, or a new upload. New uploads are checked by our moderation before they go live; a video you have already used is live straight away.
What recruiters see#
- Your video plays on a page with your name. A skip button appears after a few seconds (you choose when).
- Afterwards they are forwarded to your redirect URL.
- If you added references, recruiters can leave their email to unlock them — you receive their contact.
Tracking#
For every link you see opens, plays, watch time and captured contacts on Links & Analytics. Use it to time your follow-up.
Limits and settings#
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| Views before the link only redirects | 20 (adjustable) |
| Edits per link | 2 |
| Skip button appears after | 10 seconds |
Redirects to domains on our allowlist go live immediately; other addresses are reviewed by a moderator first.
Your videos#
Videos live in one place: Dashboard → Videos. Upload a recording once, it is reviewed once, and you can then put it on as many application links and pages as you like — the same introduction for every company, or a different one where it matters.
- A video is only shown to visitors once it has been approved.
- Swapping the video on a link uses one of that link's two edits; the first choice is free.
- A 2-credit link can only show a video of up to two minutes; 5-credit links allow five.
- Deleting a video removes it from every link that used it, and those links then show no video at all — nothing falls back to another recording.
- Deleting a link never deletes the video.
Tips for a good application video#
- Keep it to 45–90 seconds: who you are, why this role, one proof point.
- Look into the camera, use daylight, and record a clean audio track.
- Record one strong general video and reuse it, then add a special one for the job you want most.
